Politicians need to "grow up" and reform the social care sector, the author of a landmark government-commissioned report has told Sky News.

While a bitter election row over public spending continues, Sir Andrew Dilnot believes the two main parties are reluctant to discuss care reform for fear of being accused of plotting future tax hikes.
