“New evidence supporting credibility of Tara Reade’s allegation against Joe Biden emerges.”Susan Sarandon, has-been actress, and wife of cuckold Timothy Robbins

After weeks of stories in conservative outlets about Tara Reade’s sexual assault claim against presumptive Democrat presidential nominee Joe Biden – and after weeks of deafening silence from the Progressive Left and specifically the #MeToo movement, now, only after the story’s become a thundering echo in the canyons of social media, are we starting to hear Uber-Liberal voices address the issue.

Reade filed a lawsuit earlier this month claiming Biden sexually assaulted her in 1993. As reported at NPR.org (hardly a conservative outlet:

“When Reade met up with the senator, she said, he pinned her up against a wall and penetrated her vagina with his fingers…‘His hands went underneath my clothing and he was touching me in my private areas and without my consent,’ Reade told NPR. She said Biden asked her whether she wanted to go somewhere else…Reade said that she pulled away and that Biden pointed his finger at her and said, ‘You’re nothing to me, nothing.’”

Reade’s lawsuit comes after years of blowing the whistle on Biden. Reade quite publicly accused Biden of inappropriate touching over a year ago and just recently a 1993 clip from Larry King Live surfaced that document’s Reade’s Mother exposing Mr. Biden for his actions.

But Reade isn’t the only person to call Biden out on his inappropriate behavior. As The Washington Times reported on April 12, 2020:

“Biden’s conduct towards women first came under scrutiny just before he announced his presidential campaign last spring. Eight women, including Reade, came forward with allegations that the former Vice President made them feel uncomfortable with inappropriate physical displays of affection…Biden acknowledged the complaints and promised to ‘be more mindful about respecting personal space in the future.’”

This presents a question.

Aside from the overriding fact that in the United States everyone – everyone – is innocent until proven guilty, it is reasonable to be cautious when a single complaint is leveled against someone. That it is a singular complaint doesn’t exonerate us from examining the allegation, but caution in determining truth is prudent. Someone’s guilt or innocence should never be determined because of media coverage (or non-coverage); the court of public opinion, though lethal, has never been a legitimate venue for determining guilt or innocence.

But when eight people have been brave enough to come forward – especially in the American political sphere – to call out inappropriate behavior by an established heavy-hitter, our degree of caution must start to wane. Both legal and public examination of misconduct of public (read: elected and/or appointed) officials should be the order of the day, not adjudication, examination.

Yet, the glitterati who gratuitously take to the spotlight under the banner of the #MeToo movement have, for the most part, remained in their guarded mansions silent on the issue even though they bastardized the spirit of the moment for their own personal gain:

  • “I want people to know that this movement isn’t stopping. We’re going to move forward until we have an equitable and safe space for women.” – Mira Sorvino
  • Ashley Judd professed that she chose to come forward about being sexually harassed by Harvey Weinstein to “shame back on the perpetrator” instead of on the victim.
  • “I don’t know how many times I can say it. I don’t know how many different people need to tell their stories before we realize these aren’t isolated incidents; there’s a culture that supports this.” – Gabrielle Union
  • “I want the conversation [with men] to be like the conversations I have with my kids: You did something wrong and here is how you rectify your behavior. I will be watching while you rectify your behavior…” – Kristen Bell
  • “If #MeToo has made men feel vulnerable, panicked, unsure, and fearful as a result of women finally, collectively, saying ‘Enough!’ so be it.” – Soraya Chemaly

And after eight women came forward to complain about the misogynistic behavior of Joe Biden, the petulant child Alyssa Milano had the unmitigated gall to defend Joe Biden:

“I had not publicly said anything about this- if you remember, it kind of took me a long time to say anything about Harvey [Weinstein] as well – because I believe that even though we should believe women… but that does not mean at the expense of giving men their due process and investigating situations…It’s got to be fair in both directions.”

This is not to say that all people associated with the #MeToo movement are hypocrites and spotlight seekers. Rose McGowan has been calling for an investigation into Biden’s sexually predatory behavior for quite a while. Today she existed unabashedly in Reade’s corner, labeling Milano a “fraud” and castigating the mainstream media as well:

“This is about holding the media accountable. You go after Trump & Kavanaugh saying Believe Victims, you are a lie. You have always been a lie. The corrupt DNC is in on the smear job of Tara Reade, so are you. SHAME…”

The abusers of the #MeToo movement – and I call them abusers because the spotlight whores are doing great harm to the many women (and children) who have been sexually abused – are threatening the de-legitimization of the movement’s voice. Their silence on Joe Biden’s misogynistic and wholly inappropriate behavior towards women and young females serves as a betrayal to the movement; a tacit and politically motivated defense of the man.

Imagine their outrage and ire if the perpetrator was fishing on the opposite side of the pond ideologically and politically from where they stand. They would be foaming at the mouth.

To sum up, I will apply some lyrics from an old Bonnie Raitt song, whose music I love but whose silence on this issue saddens me to no end:

“Hey! Shut up. Don’t lie to me, You say I’m blind, but I’ve got eyes to see,

Hey, mister, how do you do? Oh, pardon me, I thought I knew you,

Would you stand back, baby, ‘cause I want to get a better look,
The big man who couldn’t handle the little bit of love you took…”

“We want to add more money there…it is very urgent though that we support our — our police and fire, our health care workers, our nurses, our teachers…that’s what the state and local government is about, is meeting the needs of the coronavirus. And everything that we’re doing is about the coronavirus, understand that.” – Nancy Pelosi (P-CA) speaking on the stalled negotiations to return more tax dollars to small businesses.

We all have to take that with a gigantic grain of salt. After all, Ms. Pelosi and her coven of Progressive opportunists packed the last pandemic stimulus package with:

  • $75 million for the National Endowment for the Humanities
  • $75 million for the National Endowment for the Arts
  • $100 million from developing broadband connections in rural areas
  • $50 million to generic legal services
  • $250 million to the IRS for extending the April 15th deadline to file tax returns
  • $60.8 million to clean toilets in our forest preserves (how much does bleach cost?)
  • $25 million for the Kennedy Center
  • $14.25 billion to colleges and universities
  • $13 million specifically allocated to Howard University
  • $7 million specifically allocated to Gallaudet University
  • $75 million for PBS
  • $10 million for the US Senate
  • $25 million to the US House
  • $608 million related to State Dept. programs focusing on coronavirus response for other nations
  • $1.018 billion bailout to Amtrak under the guise of a coronavirus response

And let’s remember, that’s just the Federal government spendthrifting our tax dollars.

The Federal Reserve has already injected over $10 trillion – trillion – into the financial sector in an attempt to stabilize those knee-jerk opportunists (listen to a very disturbing podcast here).

So, with the negotiations stalled on re-engaging the act of actually helping small businesses instead of loading the federal government’s feed trough for the usual suspects, how about trying something different?

How about crafting legislation, to sunset after the “all clear” is given on this COVID-19 event, that would give the President the line-item veto as an emergency measure?

Congress would still control the purse strings but it would allow the President to pare down the tax dollars spent if he deemed it wasteful spending.

As a contingency, Democrats would always be able to complain to their sycophantic media that he was shortchanging someone or some program, and they could play it out in the media before the November elections.

They love doing that anyway, i.e. Klobuchar insisting that Joe Biden has already investigated on the sexual assault claims leveled against him by a former staffer because the New York Times wrote an article about it.

With the initial small business stimulus package being ravaged by hedge funds, brokerage houses, and mid-sized law firms, we need to give flexibility to people in Washington who want to look out for the average American, not continue the plundering of the connected class.

If popular fears prevail and small businesses close on a massive level our nation will experience an economic crisis that will make the Great Depression look like a tropical vacation.

What better way for the Progressives to usher in Socialism disguised as benevolence.

“…but prominent Democrats continue to stay silent on the [Biden sexual assault lawsuit] story, including most of the women who have been discussed as potential vice presidential picks.”

This is hypocrisy in real-time and unless every American takes the time to apply pressure Biden and the Progressive-Democrats will get away with their status quo grotesque duplicity once again. The future of our country is literally in our hands.

Harris, Warren, Demings, Yates, Klobuchar, Baldwin, and Whitmer have to be pointedly confronted and made to answer the question – and without being allowed to duck an honest answer: Why are Tara Reade’s accusations not receiving the same coverage and open-mindedness as the accusers of Brett Kavanaugh and even Clarence Thomas? And why aren’t you addressing Biden’s serial lechery?

Then opportunistic reprobates like Madonna, Alyssa Milano, Ashley Judd, and every other publicity-seeking, has-been, vagina-hat wearing activist must explain why they aren’t screaming about the accusations against Biden and just as loudly as they did when they were appalled by the actions of Harvey Weinstein or Jeffrey Epstein.

Sadly, unless We the People apply pressure ourselves the politicos and the Hollywood skank crowd will never protest Biden. He will be given the “smoky backroom wink” because of where he lives politically: across the ideological great divide. They will ignore his misogyny and look the other way as he gropes another woman of sniffs another teenage girl’s hair, regardless of whether they feel violated or not. They will give him a pass on crimes that would destroy careers because of ideology and politics.

The women of the Progressive-Left are proving they will sell their sisters out for political and ideological gain.

So. How to apply pressure.

One of the most potent ways to apply pressure is to force the usual suspect media outlets to bend to applying the heat via inquisition. The way to pressure the media is by applying pressure to their commercial sponsors. If enough people tell “Companies A, B & C” that there will be a boycott of their goods until the news programs they buy ad time from ask specific questions, the power of money will force the media to cover the issue. If that fails, we must pressure friends and relatives not to watch the networks or buy the newspapers.

The same heat can be applied to the courtesans of Hollywood. Stop buying their CDs and MP3s, stop renting their movies, stop watching their shows, and start writing their sponsors, labels, and networks.

Unless every responsible American – people who are tired of the double-standards and two-tiered society that currently exists – presses this issue we will be condemned to a permanent “two-sets-of-rules” society.

We are alarmingly close to lighting the fuse that will facilitate the second great domestic conflict for our nation. If we don’t take the time to at least try to avoid it, that conflict will most assuredly arrive at our doors.

Apart from the report that the New York Times allowed the Biden Campaign to vet and edit one of their stories on Mr. Biden’s misconduct (who gets to do that?), there is a larger point to be made here.

“The Times raised eyebrows on Sunday after it deleted a tweet and tweaked its report about the 1993 [sexual assault] accusation made by former Biden staffer Tara Reade, which originally read, ‘No other allegation about sexual assault surfaced in the course of reporting, nor did any former Biden staff members corroborate any details of Ms. Reade’s allegation. The Times found no pattern of sexual misconduct by Mr. Biden, beyond the hugs, kisses and touching that women previously said made them uncomfortable.’”

In the deleted NYT tweet it states,

“…beyond the hugs, kisses and touching that women previously said made them uncomfortable…”

In including that verbiage in Mr. Biden’s defense the Times is declaring at least one thing very clearly. It is quite alright to hug, kiss, and touch women whenever one chooses, and even if it makes them uncomfortable. How else can that statement be consumed?

By the Times’ declaration, it would be just fine for me to walk up to a woman on the street and:

  • Place my hands on her without her permission
  • Smell her hair
  • Hug her
  • Kiss her

How else can you read the Times’ declaration?

So, aside from putting the Times in context as an operative shill for the Biden Campaign – which renders their coverage of him to propaganda not to be trusted, the lack of a loud reaction from the #MeToo Movement paints them as nothing more than a coven of hypocrites.

The very movement that stood up loud and protested the President for the alleged use of misogynistic words, is intentionally looking the other way where accusations of physical abuse and assault on a woman by their candidate are concerned.

If it hadn’t been proven already, this serves as proof positive. The #MeToo Movement is a political tool, not an advocacy group.

If you are a woman who is a survivor of sexual assault you should be beyond pissed off…

I can’t say that I am completely surprised. Since Roger Ailes was unceremoniously dismissed from NewsCorp leadership – and since the Murdock boys have taken over the reins – FOX news has transformed from “we report, you decide” to “we’ll provide the sensationalist headlines, our sponsors will enjoy the clicks.”

The headline that stands in stark example today is this:

“US Overtakes Italy to Have Highest Coronavirus Death Toll in the World After 2,000 Deaths in a Day”

Why is this disgraceful? Because articles in their online publication – as well as a deluge of source-based comments – have outed the CDC for changing the reporting criteria related to COVID-19 deaths:

“In cases where a definite diagnosis of COVID cannot be made but is suspected or likely (e.g. the circumstances are compelling with a reasonable degree of certainty) it is acceptable to report COVID-19 on a death certificate as ‘probable’ or ‘presumed.’”

The latitude given for reporting a death as a COVID-19 death is stunning by any standard, let alone a medical standard. Given that this latitude exists, it is more than reasonable – and, in fact, intelligent – to conclude that the deaths attributed to COVID-19 to achieve the “highest coronavirus death toll in the world” are inflated and inaccurate.

Further proof of inducement to inflate the number of deaths attributed to COVID-19 comes in another article published by FOX News. In the article, Minnesota Doctor Blasts ‘Ridiculous’ CDC Coronavirus Death Count Guidelines, State Senator and physician, Scott Jensen, spotlighted the obvious:

“…anytime health care intersects with dollars it gets awkward…Right now Medicare has determined that if you have a COVID-19 admission to the hospital you’ll get paid $13,000. If that COVID-19 patient goes on a ventilator, you get $39,000; three times as much. Nobody can tell me, after 35 years in the world of medicine, that sometimes those kinds of things [have] impact on what we do.”

In a previous article, I asked everyone to follow the money regarding the COVID-19 issue. I am doubling down on that advice today.

In addition to the government paying out more for COVID-19 patients and their various levels of treatment through Medicare – and in the shadow of the federal government’s want to pay for all COVID-19 treatments, we have two smoky backroom figures that keep surfacing: Bill Gate and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, and Dr. Anthony Fauci, the director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases.

Strategic risk consultant and best-selling author, F. William Engdahl, writes:

“In 2017 during the Davos World Economic Forum, Gates initiated something called CEPI, the Coalition for Epidemic Preparedness Innovations…to ‘accelerate the development of vaccines we’ll need to contain outbreaks’ of future epidemics…

“In October 2019 the Gates Foundation teamed up with the World Economic Forum and the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security to enact what they called a ‘fictional’ scenario simulation…Event 201 simulated an ‘outbreak of a novel zoonotic coronavirus’…The scenario then ends after 18 months when the fictional coronavirus has caused 65 million deaths.”

Prophetic or curiously and suspiciously accurate, Gates’ scenario of a SARS-based pandemic came to fruition in 2020.

Engdahl continues:

“Gates Foundation money is backing vaccine development on every front. Inovio Pharmaceuticals of Pennsylvania received $9 million from the Gates-backed CEPI…to develop a vaccine…gave the company an added $5 million to develop a proprietary smart device for intradermal delivery of the new vaccine.

“Gates Foundation monies via CEPI are financing development of a radical new vaccine method known as messengerRNA or mRNA…co-funding the Cambridge, Massachusetts biotech company, Moderna Inc., to develop a vaccine against the Wuhan novel coronavirus…Moderna’s other partner is the US National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases [the] head of NIAID is Dr. Anthony Fauci.

“…the Gates Foundation and related entities such as CEPI constitute the largest funders of the public-private entity known as WHO, and that its current director, Tedros Adhanom, the first WHO director in history not a medical doctor, worked for years on HIV with the Gates Foundation…”

Aside from the fact that Gate’s company Microsoft can’t guarantee your computer won’t catch a virus, let’s ask ourselves some questions:

  • How much money do Bill Gates and the companies funded by his foundation stand to make by drawing this pandemic out to employ their vaccine(s) as the end-all-be-all cure?
  • How much money do Bill Gates and the companies funded by his foundation stand to make by selling the specialized delivery systems for the application of the vaccine(s)?
  • How much money from the Gates Foundation is Dr. Fauci dependent on for his professional livelihood?

So, while FOX News is disingenuously (and I suspect unwittingly as they are increasingly bubblegum in their investigative reporting) acting the useful idiot for Bill Gates and the Davos crew, they are irresponsibly abdicating their duty dig into the details of what is happening, who the players are, and who stands to profit not only from this event but from all future events.

Political observers are keen to wax angrily about the “Deep State” and “The Swamp” in Washington, DC, but that smoky dark room – that “Swamp” reaches far beyond the US Capitol. It reaches and nests in Davos, Switzerland each year.

As to FOX News’ “Highest Coronavirus Death Toll in the World” claim: It’s easy to claim the number-one spot on the pandemic death charts if in that body count you include those who cough before having a heart attack or sneezing before getting into a fatal car accident.

We see you FOX News. Change your ways or die a media death like MSNBC and CNN only to be buried in the propagandist’s graveyard of obscurity and impotence, all because you sensationalized the news for profit.

“State Rep. Tavia Galonski (D-OH-35) tweeted Sunday after President Trump spoke about hydroxychloroquine at his daily press briefing… ‘I can’t take it anymore. I’ve been to The Hague. I’m making a referral for crimes against humanity tomorrow…Today’s press conference was the last straw. I know the need for a prosecution referral when I see one.’”

Of course, Galonski is referring to the International Criminal Court at The Hague which the United States does not recognize. We don’t recognize it for the fact that to do so would put a non-constitutional adjudicating body above our Constitution, our rule of law, and our Supreme Court. Because we don’t recognize the ICC it has no teeth, no authority…nothing.

Now, Galonski either doesn’t understand that her “referral” means diddly-squat (which makes her a blithering idiot), forgot that her “referral” means less than the New York Times at the bottom of a birdcage (which puts her in Joe Biden’s forgetfulness group), or is a political opportunist (which puts her ethics below that of shyster attorneys and CNN and MSNBC’s).

We also need to look at her motivation via her campaign contributors. We need to see if she took any checks or quid pro quo in-kind contributions from big pharma, and here’s why.

In several locations around the world – including Australia, France, and (ironically) China, Hydroxychloroquine, when combined with Zithromax and zinc, has proven incredibly effective against the COVID-19 virus, both as a treatment after infection and as a prophylactic. This would mean that any big pharma concocted, high-priced cure that would hold the treasuries of the world hostage to political extortion wouldn’t be so critical to achieving.

And let me further juxtapose Galonski’s ignorance with this. A poll of 6,227 physicians in 30 countries across three continents, conducted by the global healthcare polling company Sermo, found that they believe hydroxychloroquine to be the best treatment for COVID-19. Further, the poll found that the United States has the lowest percentage of physicians prescribing the drug, although that number is growing.

Sermo CEO, Peter Kirk is quoted as saying, “Physicians should have more of a voice in how we deal with the pandemic and be able to quickly share information with one another around the world.” He alluded to the poll results (albeit his organization’s) as a “treasure trove of global insight for policymakers.”

And let’s file this under the “blind squirrel finding a nut” column.

Bloomberg (of all places) reports that more than 99 percent of the coronavirus fatalities in Italy – one of the world’s COVID-19 hotspots – were people who suffered from previous medical conditions, i.e. they were already identified as vulnerable, sometimes three-times over.

The Istituto Superiore di Sanita, Italy’s national health authority, discovered, post mortem, that of the 132,547 COVID-19 cases only 0.2 percent of the 16,523 fatalities (as opposed to the 22,837 who have recovered completely) were free and clear of any known preexisting condition. Those who died did so from complications related to COVID-19 in concert with their pre-existing conditions. The institute categorized those conditions like high blood pressure, diabetes, and heart disease, among others.

Additionally, Italy has a state-run healthcare system that has established guidelines that mandate, and I quote from The Atlantic: “Those who are too old to have a high likelihood of recovery, or who have too low a number of ‘life-years’ left even if they should survive, would be left to die.” To be more succinct, Italy is not treating COVID-19 elderly patients who present with an advanced stage of coronavirus. Ain’t socialized medicine wonderful…

But I digress.

Again, I am not saying that the COVID-19 virus event we are experiencing isn’t serious. It is. What I am saying is that it is being exploited by opportunistic politicians and special interests that glean benefit through chaos and over-hyped by the media for ideological purposes.

Given the extremes to which our society has stooped during this event (hoarders should take a good long look in the mirror to examine what kind of person they have become), wouldn’t employing the hydroxychloroquine cocktail within the non-vulnerable community be a positive step toward marginalizing this virus? Rather than investing in the panic that saw New York and Michigan’s governors reverse their “ban” on hydroxychloroquine – only to now passionately exclaim they need more access to the drug, why not remain calm, use common sense hygiene protocols in mass, employ what is now a clinically effective avenue of treatment to the non-vulnerable, and sure-footedly develop treatments and vaccines for the less resilient?

We all must stop feeding at the trough of media, political, and special interest manipulation. In our fast-paced, “gotta-have-it-now”, instant gratification world, we have to take the time to inform and educate ourselves on issues and seek out facts. Just like our addictions to cellphones and social media, we have become dependent on the information we consume via the usual suspect media outlets and a cursory look into their motives points to two things: 1) they are for-profit entities that compete using sensationalism; and 2) each of them is not without their ideological biases and agendas.

Gone are the days of journalism based on “just the facts” and “who, what, where, when, and how.” Today we have opinion-based news that preys on emotions and puts more weight into the speculative “why” of every story. True, fact-based journalism, if not dead, is in critical condition with questionable chances for recovery.

Good thing Italy isn’t in control of journalism’s destiny.

“You never want a serious crisis to go to waste. And what I mean by that is an opportunity to do things you think you could not do before.”Rahm Emanuel, former Chief of Staff to Pres. Obama and former Mayor of Chicago

“I went to Yale and I worked for the New York Times, the people on the left hold themselves out as being science-driven, as being smarter, they think they’re smarter but they won’t look at facts that won’t meet their narratives… everyone needs to hear this counterargument, whether or not it’s right, you need to hear it because the damage we are doing to ourselves right now is so enormous.” Alex Berenson, former New York Times reporter who covered the pharmaceutical industry

When you decide what truth is based on feelings, emotions, or social media consensus rather than examining the facts – all of the facts and without ideological bent or bias – you graduate to becoming useless to the truth.

The kneejerk reaction to everything the President has said to date on this the subject of COVID-19 has been based on political hatred and positioning. I can say that with high confidence because there are too many, as Donald Rumsfeld would say, “known unknowns and unknown unknowns” related to the issue. So, no one can speak with ultimate authority.

That said because this is an unusual event, some of the usual measures cannot stand as sacrosanct. The topic of the hydroxychloroquine cocktail and employing it to combat the COVID-19 virus is one of those instances where traditional “government-speed” process and measure must be altered.

So far the argument against the cocktail (hydroxychloroquine, azithromycin, and zinc) has been that it hasn’t been subjected to the usual drug trials where COVID-19 is concerned. Yet, in the need for expedience not only should we look at cursory results (all positive) we must honestly look at the negatives or side effects, which many scientists and physicians when queried, have said are rare.

One thing is clear, however. Of all of the Lupus patients who are taking hydroxychloroquine, not one has developed COVID-19. In the need for expeditious examination, that needs to be an indicator.

Away from the medical sphere, we need to step into the economic sphere to address the incredible damage our collective kneejerk reaction has inflicted on our economy. And here is where I completely agree with Berenson. The absolute overreaction to this event – and the pig-headed mindset that one size fits all, where prevention and mitigation are concerned – defied the need to employ sound measures titrated to regional needs.

Yes, New York City and the immediate areas surrounding New York City needed a quarantine (or stay-at-home) order. Their hospitals are running at or over capacity and their basic treatment needs are wanting. But New York City isn’t the Florida Panhandle, isn’t New Mexico, isn’t Kansas, etc. What is required in New York City isn’t necessarily the appropriate action for other locations.

Should we all employ hyper-vigilant hygiene and appropriate distancing? Yes. That wouldn’t be a bad practice to maintain. But shutting down the national economy when it could have functioned to support the affected areas was, in a word, “unbrilliant.”

It’s time to use the models as malleable guides, not dictates as they have proven – when one examines them – grossly inaccurate. Let’s try what has appeared to work and get back to work, before the loudest mouths of the political class start insisting that Socialism is the only way out of this.

Because you know that’s coming.

“In the midst of chaos, there is also opportunity.” – Sun-Tzu

The coronavirus – or SARS-CoV-2 – is indeed real and it is causing deaths around the world. But while the stock markets are reacting in typical kneejerk fashion, we would be wise to truly understand the threat posed by the virus. When put into context, this outbreak is less panic-worthy than the media is depicting.

Hospitalization for SARS-CoV-2 is reported at approximately 75,000 worldwide. There have been approximately 2,000 deaths attributed to the virus, and it has a mortality rate ranging from 2.9 percent to just 0.4 percent, depending on the age of the person afflicted; the mortality rate for geriatric individuals being higher and younger victims lower. People ages 10 to 39 had a reported mortality rate of 0.2 percent and nobody 9 and under has died of the virus to date.

Juxtaposed to the mortality rate for the influenza A and influenza B viruses we begin to see things more clearly.

In the United States alone, influenza A and influenza B – “the flu” – has already been the cause of an estimated 26 million illnesses, 250,000 hospitalizations, and 14,000 deaths this season, these statistics reported by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. This flu season, so far, about 1 percent of people in the United States have developed symptoms deemed severe enough for hospitalization. This is similar to the rate last season and considered normal. The mortality rate for influenza A and influenza B is roughly 0.05 percent.

Additionally, when we compare SARS-CoV-2 to other outbreaks that have been covered in contemporary news coverage we gather more context and move further away from panic:

  • Ebola Virus Disease (specifically EBOV): 83%-90%
  • AIDS/HIV Infection: 80%-90% (not actually lethal but patients usually develop fatal respiratory diseases because of immunodeficiency caused by the virus)
  • Anthrax: 85%
  • Bubonic Plague: 60%
  • Tuberculosis: 43%
  • Smallpox: 30%
  • Typhoid fever: 20%

To put even more context to the issue, according to FBI statistics in 2018:

  • 1,515 people (0.00045% of the US population) were killed by knives or other cutting instruments
  • 692 (0.00020%) by fists, feet and other “personal weapons”
  • 443 (0.00013%) people were killed by hammers, clubs and other blunt objects
  • 297 (0.00008%) people killed by rifles including assault rifles

Deaths on our highways reached approximately 38,800 (0.0116423022%) in 2019. In 2017, 47,600 (0.0141027888%) people died from an overdose of opioids.

And it’s no mystery how the virus spreads. Just like the common flu that comes around every year, SARS-CoV-2 is spread from human to human via expelled droplets. The World Health Organization explains it thusly:

“The disease can spread from person to person through small droplets from the nose or mouth which are spread when a person with SARS-CoV-2 coughs or exhales. These droplets land on objects and surfaces around the person. Other people then catch SARS-CoV-2 by touching these objects or surfaces, then touching their eyes, nose or mouth. People can also catch SARS-CoV-2 if they breathe in droplets from a person with SARS-CoV-2 who coughs out or exhales droplets.”

Per the Journal of American Medical Association (JAMA), prevention is a boat-load of common sense:

“Prevention is the best approach. General preventative measures include handwashing with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, avoiding touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands, avoiding contact with people who are sick, staying at home when you are sick, covering your face when coughing or sneezing, throwing any used facial tissues in the trash and frequently disinfecting surfaces you may touch.”

So, why the unbridled panic? Yes, we know less about the virus than the other diseases mentioned, but given the context of its lethality, it doesn’t warrant the mass panic that is being fomented by the mainstream media.

Tuesday, Dr. Nancy Messonnier, director of the National Center for Immunization and Respiratory Diseases at the CDC issued a statement saying that Americans should prepare “for significant disruption of our lives,” intimating that a great disruption in our daily lives was imminent. This caused the fickle stock market to plummet. Messonnier is the sister of former deputy attorney general Rod Rosenstein, by the by.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports:

“…[the] S&P 500 is now 12% below the all-time high it set just a week ago. This is now the stock market’s worst week since October 2008, when Wall Street was mired in the financial crisis.”

Aside from the fact that the stock market is an antiquated measure for our economy (it has been obsolete in the immediate for decades), why the panic? Given the established mortality rates for SARS-CoV-2 in context, does an outbreak of this virus warrant the damage it is doing to the US and world economies?

Something stinks here and this is what I believe it is.

The Progressive usual suspects who lord of the narratives the mainstream media feeds to the masses had no way of making the economy an issue going into the November General Elections. The stock market was at an all-time high, unemployment is at an all-time low across the board, homeownership – and especially minority homeownership – is at the highest levels in a long time; the US economy is in great shape and only getting better. So, the question facing the usual suspect political ideologues in the media was this. How do we create chaos and panic to put the economy back into play politically?

People are motivated to the polls when they are touched either emotionally or financially. If a candidate is lucky enough to have an issue that touches both it is a gift, politically speaking. Creating chaotic insecurity about the US economy touches voters in the wallet (financially), and especially those who do not take the time to educate themselves on the issues and/or put the provocation into context. The panic introduced by the media over SARS-CoV-2 is the perfect chaotic mechanism to put the economy back into play for Progressives and Democrats going into November.

The President and his team need to capture the narrative on SARS-CoV-2 immediately; before any further damage is done to both the economy and his significant chance for a landslide victory in the Fall. He’s done it before in the fashion of Ronald Reagan (taking the message directly to the people). Let’s see if he can do it again

Social media has become a staple in our society. Through these platforms we stay connected with family and friends, create “cyber friends”, glean information, and take action on events and issues that are important to us. As the social media spheres become more politicized they also become more compartmentalized. This leads to the danger of producing large member echo chambers that increasingly become ineffective in their goals.

We’ve all seen the posts on platforms like Facebook. Something outrageous is rightly exposed and hundreds or thousands of people have “liked” (or indicated anger) at the post. Some reply to the post with comments and some, albeit less often, share the post with likeminded friends, family, and groups. But outside of an individual’s sphere of influence – and since likeminded people tend to belong to the same groups and circles – the “outrage” has a shelf life and usually ends with the perpetrators of the outrage not feeling any heat for their bad actions.

A 2018 Pew Research Center report identified that two-thirds (68 percent) of Americans get their news and information from social media. And while 57 percent of that group “expect” the bulk of any information gleaned from social media to be “inaccurate” – not false, but inaccurate, an alarming 42 percent believe the information is accurate. That means roughly one-third (28.56 percent) of American believe that the information floated on social media is “accurate”.

The largest group in that percentage is Facebook, weighing in at 43 percent. This is the social media vehicle that pushed “groups”; intra-social media circles that compartmentalize people into likeminded pods, i.e. “groups.” While this structure allows for likeminded people to commiserate amongst themselves, most often it facilitates the illusion of successful activism in the face of outrage by way of creating “echo chambers”.

A perfect example comes in a story about an AP history class at Loch Raven High School in Towson, Maryland. During a lesson, the teacher displayed a slide that equated President Trump and his administration to the Nazis of Germany and the Communist Party under Stalin.

“A slide used in an Advanced Placement history class at Loch Raven High School in Towson shows a picture of Trump above pictures of a Nazi swastika and a flag of the Soviet Union. Two captions read ‘wants to round up a group of people and build a giant wall’ and ‘oh, THAT is why it sounds so familiar!’”

To be sure, this type of political indoctrination propaganda should never be displayed in a classroom. It is blatantly biased and promotes a political agenda. Our education system should be charged – exclusively – with teaching our children how to think, not what to think. Sadly, we do not teach critical thinking skills today, but I digress.

I posted this story to the One America News Network Facebook group (among many others) stating: “Everyone should contact Principal Janine Holmes (jholmes@bcps.org) and demand this teacher be fired. #Politics #StopTheIndoctrination”. To which one member replied, “What, you don’t think the principal knows about it?”

To his credit, I do understand what he was saying. Yes, I am certain that Principal Holmes knew about it. I suspect that she even agreed with it. But this comment illustrates my point.

If Principal Holmes’ email address wasn’t included in that post how many people would have simply “liked” (or selected the angry emoji) and commented on the post without actually doing something about it? How many would have taken the time to search out the contact information for this principal in an effort to express outrage? To that end, I wonder how many actually did email the principal. The outrage of the overwhelming number of group members, regarding this teacher’s action, will, sadly, remain ineffective; it will remain in the echo chamber of that group and the groups that exist within the spheres of its members having no effect on the situation whatsoever.

Additionally, many members of one conservative group are members of the many other conservative groups, constituting a larger but still compartmentalized circular echo chamber. This further isolates any social outrage rendering it ineffective in achieving meaningful change. While a person may feel they have done something to create a loud voice to push back against an outrage; feel they have done their part to combat cultural erosion, they have, in fact, done very little.

Without including the information necessary to take action (i.e. an email address, phone number, or website link) – and without each and every one of us taking the time to act on that call to action, the outrage and effort needed to affect real change remains compartmentalized and ineffective.

Social media echo chambers are where great intentions go to die. This is especially true for conservative-minded group echo chambers. Progressives and Justice Democrats understand this and that’s why they can routinely – and for the most inane of reasons – produce large-member pressure vehicles (emails, phone calls, letters and protests) at a moment’s notice.

Until conservatives and constitutionalists understand that meaningful action takes more than a “like” and a comment, the Leftists amongst us will continue to win incrementally. Until conservatives and constitutionalists come to grips with the reality that – for now – Leftists organize to action better than we do, the country will continue on its path to becoming a socialist democracy.

There are a plethora of reasons why Michael Bloomberg shouldn’t be considered for the Democrat nomination to be president, but two stick out with significance: His wealth and the hint that he would restore the Clinton influence in American politics.

The comedy show that is the field of candidates for the Democrat presidential nomination is Emmy worthy. They exist as a mismatch of Marxists and Trotskyites, oligarchic millionaires and billionaires, globalists and anarchists on the main stage talking about how the rest of us should live our lives so as to be benevolent. They preach about how we must sacrifice for the environment as the fly around the country in private jets (but for Sanders who only flies first class). And they thunder on how the Second Amendment is antiquated, even as they pontificate behind walls of armed bodyguards and spend tens of millions for armed security for their upcoming convention.

The entirety of the Democrat slate expects the sheep among their subjects to jettison the things they have come to know (read: reality) so as to embrace their elitist Nuevo-definitions of words, phrases, and events, allowing for the cobbling of a narrative that appears to legitimize their tapestries of bovine feces.

Whether you see their line-up as comedic or macabre, it is a dangerous line-up. One of them will survive the media labyrinth to exist one election away from the ability to make their vision for our country a reality.

Remember, in November of 2008 everyone stood slack-jawed that a nobody from Chicago exploded into the presidency. The eight years of Barack Obama’s Progressive and Marxist policies not only damaged the economy and security of the United States, but it also divided the people in a way not seen since before the Civil Rights Movement.

Bloomberg, 77, isn’t a nobody. He’s a billionaire fifty-times over who controls a significant media apparatus to advance his narrative. This means he can spin fiction that softens, manipulates, and distorts – to his advantage – his anti-Second Amendment, pro-abortion, open borders, tax-happy agenda in an effort to dupe the people into abdicating their freedoms; as he seeks to make the US Constitution irrelevant and the United States a socialist democracy. This is exactly how he was able to politically reinvent himself so many times.

A lifelong Democrat before registering as a Republican in 2001 to ingratiate himself to New York City voters on the heels of the wildly successful tenure of Rudy Giuliani (R), Bloomberg dropped his Republican designation while in office, registering as an Independent in 2007, and again executed a metamorphic change in re-registering as a Democrat in 2018 in preparation for a presidential run. To say that he is a political opportunist would be a grotesque understatement.

If that isn’t enough to expunge Bloomberg from consideration for any public office, there is credible buzz that he is seriously considering allowing the poison of Hillary Clinton’s politics and influence to resurface on the world stage in a vice-presidential bid on his ticket (I guess that would put her one suicide away from the presidency).

For the record, Bloomberg’s spokesperson issued a non-denial denial when asked about a Clinton number-two spot. Non-denial denials are the things of manipulating despots and tyrants, by the by.

Even Bloomberg’s supporters have to question both his political metamorphosis and his questionable judgment in contemplating adding such a divisive in Hillary Clinton to his ticket given her disapproval ratings. His metamorphosis proves his opportunism and his Clinton inclusion proves his willingness to associate with the criminal class to pander to a voter demographic. These are demonstrations of political infidelity and poor decision-making.

There is an old adage that goes, and I paraphrase: just because you can doesn’t mean you should. We have intellectually lumbered into an era where disingenuous opportunists routinely seek elected office, this happening from local to national. Bloomberg and his ilk are a byproduct of this reality. And because of the short-attention-span narrative-mongers of social media and the soundbite Pharisees of the mainstream media, they are getting elected. Our country and the government our Framers bequeathed to us lays mortally wounded because of it.

And truth be told, we have no one to blame for the demise of our country but ourselves. Opportunists only take advantage of opportunities. We the People are guilty of affording those opportunities.
