While the ‘MAGA’ crowd rejoices in the state-sanctioned murder of a ‘leftist agitator,’ they fail to realize they are empowering the very same tyranny that gunned down Ashli Babbitt—setting a precedent that will inevitably be used against them.
MINNEAPOLIS, MN — On a freezing Wednesday morning in Minneapolis, the pavement ran red with the blood of a 37-year-old mother, poet, and writer named Renee Nicole Good. According to witnesses, the scene was one of chaos and conflicting commands. “Get out of the car!” screamed one agent, while another bellowed, “Don’t you move!” In the ensuing panic of a terrified, unarmed woman trying to navigate impossible orders, an ICE agent made the executive decision to act as judge, jury, and executioner, firing multiple shots into the vehicle that ended her life.
According to a report by The Intercept, the ICE agent responsible for the fatal shooting of an observer in a Minneapolis neighborhood has been identified as Jonathan Ross, a 43-year-old deportation officer based out of St. Paul. Court documents reveal that Ross has been with the agency since at least 2016 and was previously involved in a violent traffic incident in June, where he was injured while attempting to apprehend an undocumented man.
If you are a card-carrying member of the “MAGA” movement or a staunch supporter of the current administration, your reaction to this news was likely pre-programmed by the cable news cycle. You probably repeated the talking points currently being disseminated by DHS Secretary Kristi Noem and President Trump himself, who took to Truth Social to label this unarmed mother a “domestic terrorist” and a “professional agitator,” who tried to kill Ross with her car.
You might have even posted “Comply or Die” on social media.
This is the most neutral summary I’ve seen of the Minnesota murder by ICE. It has ALL angles, it syncs them together, and shows the lead up and aftermath… if you watch this all and still think those shots were justified – you just might be a psychopath.

But if we rewind the clock exactly five years to the week—January 6, 2021—we see a mirror image of this tragedy, and it exposes the fatal flaw in the American psyche.
When Ashli Babbitt, an unarmed Air Force veteran, was gunned down in the Capitol by Lt. Michael Byrd, it was the Left who cheered. It was the “Liberal” establishment that flooded the internet with memes mocking her death. It was the Biden Administration that labeled the group she was with as “domestic terrorists” and “insurrectionists,” granting a moral pass to the state agent who pulled the trigger. The Left, usually so vocal about police brutality, suddenly discovered a deep love for the boot on the neck, provided that boot was wearing a blue tie instead of a red one.
I made this warning when Babbitt was killed, and it’s now come full circle once more.
The script has flipped, but the actors are playing the exact same roles. The Right, blinded by their loyalty to the current regime, is cheering for the execution of Renee Good with the same bloodlust the Left had for Babbitt.
Neither side realizes that while they are busy cheering for the death of their political opponents, they are actively sharpening the blade that will eventually slit their own throats.
The “Night of the Long Knives” Precedent
History is replete with examples of what happens when a society allows political allegiance to override basic morality. To understand where this path leads, we must look to the terrifying efficiency of Nazi Germany in 1934.
During the “Night of the Long Knives,” Hitler ordered the extrajudicial execution of hundreds of people, specifically targeting the leadership of the SA (the Stormtroopers), including Ernst Röhm. These were bad men, often violent thugs. When the state murdered them, many average Germans—and even those who opposed the Nazis’ brutality—breathed a sigh of relief. They believed the Chancellor was “restoring order” and suppressing a dangerous, radical element of society.
They cheered, or at least acquiesced, because the state was killing “the bad guys.”
But by accepting the premise that the State has the right to murder citizens to “protect the nation,” the German people sealed their own fate. They handed the SS absolute power. Once the precedent was set that “enemies of the state” could be executed without trial, the definition of “enemy” rapidly expanded to include Jews, trade unionists, clergy, and anyone who dared to whisper a word of dissent.
The Americans cheering for Renee Good’s death because she was a “leftist agitator” are walking this same dark path. They are victims of a two-party brainwashing operation that has convinced them that the State is their friend so long as it is hurting the “right” people. They are cheering for the restoration of order, not realizing they are cheering for the construction of their own prison.
The Second Amendment Paradox
This mass psychosis is particularly dangerous given the level of armament in the United States. We are the most heavily armed population in the history of the world. The Founders intended the Second Amendment as the final check against tyranny—a break-glass-in-case-of-emergency safeguard against a government that turns on its people.
Yet, despite having enough firearms to equip a standing army, the American people have been rendered impotent by division. We are not using the Second Amendment to deter tyranny; we are too busy fantasizing about using it on our neighbors.
The State knows this. They know that an empire trying to hold onto power needs its subjects divided, dependent, and distracted. They don’t fear your AR-15 if you are cheering when they use their MRAPs to crush the skull of someone who voted differently than you.
Killing is wrong. Aggression is wrong. This is the basis of Natural Law. Unless you are acting in immediate self-defense against an aggressor, violence is never the answer. But the State has tricked you into believing that their violence is righteous while your neighbor’s dissent is terrorism.
Stop Cheering for the Executioner
The death of Renee Good, like the death of Ashli Babbitt, proves that the State is an equal-opportunity murderer. The bullet that killed Babbitt didn’t care that she was a veteran, and the bullet that killed Good didn’t care that she was a mother.
Renee Good is dead. Ashli Babbitt is dead. The State killed them both.
It is time to stop justifying murder based on the color of the victim’s political jersey. We must recognize the humanity in our political “enemy” before the state kills us both. We must stop looking to the government to solve our problems and start looking at each other as allies in a struggle for survival.
As long as we are divided, they will pick us off one by one, and half the country will cheer while it happens.
Until we realize that it is not Left vs. Right, but The State vs. The People, the body count will only rise.
We have to do better.
